The Canning Student Center and University Center will be a welcoming beacon in our community. This new front door to campus will centralize services that are critical to student success, convene campus life activities to help foster students’ sense of belonging, and house the University Center and Hospitality Management programs. Note: Access is restricted to the circle drive in front of Building A and the main entrance of Building A. If visiting Buildings A or C, parking on the north side of campus (in lots 8-14) may be preferable. Please allow yourself extra time to get around campus and refer to the for help with wayfinding. See the Canning Site Plan (PDF) for a map of affected areas.
Due to construction on campus, the bus stop for Pace route 697 has been relocated to the front of Building Y by lot 4.
Buildings A/N/R, 7/9/2026 - 11/20/2026 See Map
Buildings A/S/X/Y/Z, Toilet Rooms Refresh, 2/24/2027 - 8/6/2027
There will be updates for multiple toilet rooms during this time. Each room will be
closed for a month at a time. Facilities will provide a schedule and maps when project
is imminent.
Building C, HVAC work, 5/21/2027 - 8/20/2027
There will be HVAC work in the entire building during this time. There will be no
classes or office hours during this project.
Building E, 12/14/2026 - 12/31/2026
There will be contractors completing lighting upgrades in Building E from Monday,
Dec. 14, 2026 until Thursday, Dec. 31, 2026.
LCC Restrooms, 7/1/2026 - 10/31/2026
The first floor washrooms are being remodeled into single use restrooms.
LCC Parking Lot Paving, 5/12/2026 - 8/24/2026
Contractors will be resurfacing the parking lot at LCC. All access to the building at will be from Piper Lane through either NE or SE doors. The building will be closed to the public from June 29 - August 7.
Building R, 10/1/2026 - 11/22/2026
The Performing Arts Center Auditorium will be closed for lighting renovations during
this time. The lobby will still be open and available for ID card production.
Building M Pool, 7/27/2026 - 9/8/2026
The pool is closed for annual maintenance.
Building M Pool Pit, TBD - 2/28/2027
Contractors will be working on the Bldg. M Pool pit HVAC in order to improve efficiency.
Building W Ampitheater, 11/13/2026 - 1/3/2027
The ampitheater will be closed from Friday, Nov. 13, 2026 until Sunday, Jan. 3, 2027
for lighting replacement.
Building W Dining Room, 1/18/2027 - 2/17/2027
There will be lighting improvements being completed in the dining room from Monday,
Jan. 18, 226 until Wed., Feb. 17, 2026.
The Learning and Career Center (LCC) building will be closed June 29-August 7. LCC employees will be available onsite in the 91ÖÆÆ¬³§ Mobile Unit Mondays-Wednesdays, and will be available remotely Thursdays and Fridays. Please visit the LCC webpage for more information.
Summer Concrete and Asphalt Work, 5/18/2026 - 8/21/2026
Contractors will be on campus to complete annual concrete and asphalt maintenance.
August 20 - contractors will be performing asphalt patching on Kris Howard Blvd. by Lot 2. There may be slight detours while this work is being completed.
There will be additional concrete work west of Building M in September.
Parking Lots 12,13,14 Light Replacement - 4/27/2026 - 8/30/2026
Facilities will be installing new parking lot fixtures in lots 12, 13 and 14.
Business and Social Sciences Building
The passageway between the old Building J and Building X is closed for utility site work. This work will continue through spring 2026. There will be signage directing pedestrians to alternate routes. See Map
