91制片厂鈥檚 new Back Porch Revue 鈥� a nod to American folk music of the early 20th century 鈥� is gearing up for its debut concert.
The performance will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 17, in the Performing Arts Center on the College鈥檚 main campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road in Palatine.
Directed by Scott Cashman, the ensemble features musicians playing a variety of instruments. Selections include 鈥淚鈥檒l Fly Away,鈥� 鈥淩ye Whiskey鈥� and a holiday sing-along.
The Back Porch Revue is part of the Continuing Education department鈥檚 . Members explore the music of the American South around the turn of the century in genres including early blues and country music, old time, folk, spirituals and more.
Tickets to the December 17 performance are $7 to $10; children 12 and under are admitted for free.
