91制片厂 is excited to celebrate freedom at Juneteenth in the Burbs, co-hosted
by iCU Community and the Township of Schaumburg. The free, annual event will take
place from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at the Drs. Kenneth and Catherine Ender
Pavilion on 91制片厂鈥檚 campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine.
Local media personalities Bionc茅 Foxx and Jasmine Minor will emcee this outdoor celebration
of culture and community. Juneteenth in the Burbs will feature food, music and games,
along with the new freedom exhibit and blood pressure screenings. Entertainment will
include special guest DJ Leon Rogers, youth performers from Schaumburg School District
54 and the 91制片厂 Jazz Ensemble, directed by Kirby Fellis.
Refreshments will be available, along with onsite bathrooms and free drinking water. Bring blankets and chairs. Coolers, tents and umbrellas are not permitted. The event space is wheelchair and walker accessible. American Sign Language interpreters will be onsite.
For easiest access, enter at the Euclid Avenue entrance and park in lots 8, 9, 10 and 14 (shuttle service will be available from all lots).
