When Sonia Ajakaiye moved from Nigeria to the U.S. in high school, life was filled with many uncertainties. But being the determined and diligent person that she is, one thing remained certain: Nothing was going to stop her from achieving her dream of becoming a neonatal nurse practitioner. As a first-generation college student and scholarship recipient, Sonia has fully embraced her time at 91制片厂. In addition to her studies, she works at and as a student aide at the . And when she graduates, she plans to transfer to a four-year institution to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, and eventually a Master of Science degree. My perfect day would be one without violence, war or death. But because I know that is all a part of life, I will settle for ice cream, cake and a good movie.鈥�

I am not much of a singer, but if I was to sing a song it would be 鈥淚鈥檝e Witnessed It鈥� by Melodie Malone and Passion. It is a song that reflects how God has come through for me, and in my times of struggle he always sends help. This song serves as a reminder of God鈥檚 faithfulness in my life.
I laugh all the time because laughter is the best medicine. I don鈥檛 know who said it, I just know that I agree with the statement. Babies laughing at the sound of paper being ripped makes me laugh hysterically for no reason. Their precious little laughs are highly contagious. 鈥�
The fact that I鈥檝e relocated to another country, have worked hard and overcome many obstacles, and am now so close to achieving my dream of becoming a nurse.
I get advice from people all the time and I鈥檓 grateful for it all. One piece of advice I received is to apply wisdom in every situation, especially disputes. As much as I want to be petty sometimes, I have found that being the bigger person gives me peace of mind.
My dream vacation is anywhere with clean air and water that doesn鈥檛 cost an arm and a leg.
