Finding What Works: Invest In Yourself

There are plenty of wellness products out there in the world, some of them probably worth your money more than others. While you don鈥檛 necessarily need products or things to boost your wellness, here are a few of my favorite things that have been worth the investment:Photo of a plant growing in a person's hands.

A pair of good running/walking shoes: I can鈥檛 tell you how many people have told me that they鈥檝e had the same exercise shoes for years and then proceed to complain about various shin splints or foot pains. I recommend going to a local running store to get fitted for a pair of shoes that fit your body type and needs as a quality pair of shoes can make a huge difference. or can be great places to start.

Smart watch: There are plenty of smart watches out there that track your steps. You don鈥檛 need anything too fancy, but a watch that can help you track your steps can serve as a good reminder to move more throughout the day.

Running/Walking Belt: Whether you鈥檙e a runner or walker, I鈥檝e found that my flip belt has come in handy when I go indoors or outdoors to exercise to help store my phone, keys, snacks etc. There are plenty out there to choose from, is just one of many brands.

Minimal Equipment: If you鈥檙e traveling or don鈥檛 have time to make it out of the house, have a few small pieces of equipment on hand so you can complete any sort of workout anywhere. I鈥檝e invested in a quality jump rope, a 20 lb. weight plate, yoga mat and a foam roller and I鈥檝e been able to program body weight or slightly weighted workouts no matter where I go as the equipment is easy to store and carry with me when I鈥檓 on the go.
