91制片厂鈥檚 WHCM has seven finalists announced for the 鈥檚 2023-24 Awards. is once again a finalist for Best Community College Radio Station, an honor WHCM
at the previous ceremony.
Other finalists include 91制片厂 students Matt Byrne, Ricardo Garcia, Erica Berger and Yari Lopez, alum Carsen Star and faculty advisor Brian L. Shelton.
鈥淲e鈥檙e so fortunate to have so many talented students, alumni and volunteers making media at WHCM,鈥� Shelton said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 an honor for us to be recognized for doing radio differently.鈥�
WHCM, which can be heard at 88.3 FM or , is also a finalist in the Chicago Reader鈥檚 annual Best of Chicago online poll, competing against Chicago radio stations such as WXRT and WBEZ. through January 14, 2024.
Best of Chicago winners will be announced on February 22, 2024. IBS winners will be revealed at the organization鈥檚 New York City conference on March 2, 2024.
