From student to professor: Kris Piepenburg reflects on a lifetime at 91制片厂 on 91制片厂 Talks

Kris Piepenburg arrived at 91制片厂 in 1979 without a clear plan for his future. More than four decades later, he is retiring as one of the college鈥檚 longest-serving faculty members. On the 91制片厂 Talks podcast 鈥� in which 91制片厂 alumni share their education, career and life journeys 鈥� Piepenburg reflects on his journey from 91制片厂 student to English professor, sharing stories about campus life, student radio, memorable mentors and the experiences that shaped his career.

鈥淭he classroom is definitely something I will miss,鈥� Piepenburg said. 鈥淭he classroom is a place where something new can happen any minute. And that鈥檚 one of the things I鈥檝e enjoyed about teaching is that possibility for things to be unique and different every class session 鈥� the students make it different every time.鈥�
