Dual Credit

91制片厂's Dual Credit program allows high school students an opportunity to earn college credit, and simultaneously satisfy high school graduation requirements. In this program, students can take college level courses on the 91制片厂 campus or in their high school. College level credit is achieved by participation in either the Dual Credit or the Credit by Exam program.

Dual Credit Eligibility and Next Steps

If you are interested in participating in either the Dual Credit or the Credit by Exam programs, please follow the steps below:

STEP 1: Attend a participating district high school

In order to participate in the 91制片厂 Dual Credit program, you must attend a high school in district 211, 214 or 220.  Participating high schools include Barrington, Buffalo Grove, Conant, Elk Grove, Forest View, Fremd, Hersey, Hoffman Estates, Palatine, Prospect, Schaumburg, Rolling Meadows, Wheeling, and Vanguard.

STEP 2: Contact your high school counselor

Your high school counselor will help you select classes that will work with your schedule, assist you in the application process, and answer any questions you have regarding the program.  All processes, including enrolling in classes, acceptance into the program, and dropping classes are completed through your high school. If you are a home schooled student, please contact the high school in your home district for more information or apply to 91制片厂 as a Concurrent Enrollment Student.

STEP 3: Work with your high school counselor to complete the application forms

You will need to complete three forms: Dual Credit Application, Treatment Authorization Form, and Student-Parent Signature Form. 
The is completed online. The Treatment Authorization and Student-Parent Signature forms are available at your high school and should be completed with your parent or guardian. Once completed, submit these forms to your high school counselor.

Differences Between 91制片厂's Dual Credit and Credit By Exam Programs

Dual Credit Program

Students participating in the Dual Credit program earn both high school and college credit simultaneously. Upon completion of the course, students receive a letter grade on both their high school and 91制片厂 transcripts. Course offerings vary by high school. Students should consult their district to determine which Dual Credit courses are available:

Credit by Exam Program

Students in the Credit by Exam program can earn both high school and college credit by passing an end-of-semester exam, offered at their high school or at 91制片厂. Instructors will share results.

Students who pass the exam and complete the receive a letter grade on their high school transcript and credit only (CRD) on their 91制片厂 transcript. While semester hours are awarded, no letter grade is recorded at 91制片厂.

Colleges and universities vary in how they accept exam credit, so check with your intended school. Course availability also varies鈥攃ontact your high school to see what鈥檚 offered.

How to Order 91制片厂 Transcripts
