However, we spoke with six adult students in 91制片厂鈥檚 Fast Track Program who, despite these obstacles, believe that a college education is the best path to achieving their career goals. He谤别鈥檚 who they are, what th别测鈥檙别 working toward, and why college is right for them.
Emily Dean鈥檚 ultimate career goal is to become an HR Generalist, and she discovered that 91制片厂 offers the perfect program and resources to help her achieve that. 鈥淥ne day, I went to 91制片厂 to talk to an advisor about my possible options on getting a degree in HR or a certificate. While I was there, I learned about the Fast Track Program, which is perfect for students with a full-time job like me.鈥�
Brian Leatherby is pursuing a bachelor鈥檚 in business management and administration so he can better support his school district鈥檚 students. 鈥淚 like that the Fast Track program is all online,鈥� he says. 鈥淚 currently have a very crazy schedule, so 颈迟鈥檚 nice being able to log in if I have a couple of hours during the day when I can work. I was nervous to do it, but 颈迟鈥檚 scarier looking at it than actually doing it. You just have to take that first step.鈥�
Kathleen Ulincy-Khatib has been engineering a midlife career change into the cannabis industry. 鈥淭he supply chain and inventory management aspect has been in the back of my mind for several years,鈥� she says. 鈥湵醭兮�檚 a growing industry, and I鈥檇 like to grow with it.鈥� The Fast Track program helped her make that change. 鈥淚 looked at other colleges, but 91制片厂 really does simplify things. The availability of Flexible learning options is one of the main reasons Barbara Fontana chose 91制片厂. 鈥淚t was something I鈥檝e wanted to do for years, but I鈥檓 doing it now because 颈迟鈥檚 the right time and 颈迟鈥檚 the perfect program for me,鈥� she says. 鈥淚 hope to be able to grow within my current company, which would require a college degree.鈥� Though nervous to begin, she says 颈迟鈥檚 been a really good experience. 鈥淚鈥檓 very happy with my decision to choose 91制片厂.鈥�
After working in a few office jobs, Mona Ochana stumbled upon human resources and thought it looked like something she would enjoy. 鈥淲ith human resources, you can start as a generalist and then grow into a vice president or chief, depending on the company,鈥� she says. She saw that 91制片厂鈥檚 human resources certificate would only take one year, which was ideal for her timeline. 鈥淎nd it was affordable and all online, which worked even better because I鈥檓 a single mom and can鈥檛 really stop working.鈥�
Patricia 搁辞诲颈蝉肠丑鈥檚 goal is to be a Director of Human Resources for a major corporation. 鈥淚 love working with people. This career gives me the opportunity to make a difference for people,鈥� she says. 鈥淚 decided Harper was not only because of the cost of tuition, but because the program allowed me as a full-time worker to further my education without having to commit to a set day and time for classes.鈥�
