Financial accounting is one of the most challenging courses in the business curriculum. Early exposure to accounting can help students successfully complete college coursework required for business and accounting majors.
Students participating in the Credit by Exam program can earn both high school and college credit simultaneously.
Students in Districts 214 and 220 can enroll in College Accounting at their high schools. This course is taught using the same curriculum and textbook as students taking Introduction to ACC 101 Financial Accounting at 91制片厂.
Students, accompanied by their high school accounting instructors, come to the 91制片厂 Campus on a prearranged date to take the ACC101 Proficiency Examination. Students that pass the examination are awarded 鈥淐redit by Examination鈥 for ACC 101 on their transcripts.
Students that are awarded credit are encouraged to complete ACC102 at 91制片厂 before transferring to a four-year college. Students that do not pass the examination are encouraged to complete ACC101 at 91制片厂, since this class aligns with the high school coursework, and the exposure will lend to better success. Students that are absent from the prearranged 91制片厂 examination day, or that would like to retest, may take the Proficiency Examination by following 91制片厂鈥檚 Proficiency Examination Procedures.
Enroll in a 91制片厂 course and receive college credit while still in high school 鈥 either during the school year or summer. Learn more about Concurrent Enrollment.
