Students from four health career programs participated in 91制片厂鈥檚 first-ever interprofessional simulation day on April 3rd, 2023. There were 35 students from physical therapist assistant (PTA), nursing (NUR), certified nursing assistant (CNA), and the dietetic internship who came together to take care of a simulated patient who had suffered a stroke. They engaged in interprofessional huddles, learned about each other鈥檚 roles and responsibilities, worked on interprofessional communication techniques, and worked to strengthen their own identities as healthcare team members. Ultimately, the students reported that they now feel more confident participating as part of a healthcare team and communicating with members of other professions due to the experience and the support they received from their peers.
